Asia Rooms in China

Asia rooms in China at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide are giving travelers more options than ever, as the company is rapidly expanding its portfolio in China. Starwood already owns 70 hotels, but they are working on a pipeline of more than 90 new properties which will make China Starwood's second largest hotel market world wide.

The company is so focused on China because it is one of the fastest growing travel markets, in terms of both domestic travel and out bound travel. Beijing Capital Airport is already the second busiest in the world, with more passengers than Heathrow or O'Hare. Enrollment in the Starwood Preferred Guest program has jumped over 70% in China as the brand seems to resonate well with Chinese travelers. Starwood gained an early advantage in China with the debut of its landmark Sheraton Hotel in Beijing in 1985.
